Seattle Lawn Care

Why organic products?
We want you to be able to play on your lawn all year long! We also want to save you money by promoting the long term health of your plants and yard which decreases the products used and services required. Using Organic products or nearly organic products will promote the long term health of your plants and yard. Organic products may take a BIT of patience compared to some fast acting chemicals but those same chemicals are dangerous for children and pets and can cause other problems for your soil and surrounding plants, requiring additional and more frequent expense to compensate.

What products do you use?
We use products from Garden & Bloom as well as Cedar Grove Compost which is a local company.

What is non-transference of contaminants?
Equipment used in lawn and garden care, if not cleaned properly, can transfer a plant disease problem from one yard to another. ECLG is meticulous about their equipment to ensure non-transference of contaminants from one yard to another.

Do you have yard maintenance packages?
Yes and because of the specific sizes and needs of each yard and client, a consult is necessary prior to choosing a package. We do offer services from a basic mow and weed package to seasonal, extreme detail, all inclusive packages.

Do you move large plants?
Yes. If adding or planting new plants is part of your need, ECLG considers the maturity of plants prior to placement. Too large or overgrown plants can cause much damage to a lawn.

We now have a dog. What is the best thing I can do to help my lawn?
Cleaning up pet waste is the best thing you can do. Animal waste causes the worst lawn damage. We offer testing for the ph balance of your soil, as well as treatment if necessary. You may consider small fences for areas you do not want a pet to go.

What is the best thing to do for weed control?
A thick lawn is the best natural way to control weeds. In the summer time do not cut the grass too short as this makes it more difficult for the lawn to retain water on hot summer days.

Do you build permanent structures? We do not put in fences, retaining walls or sprinkler systems. We refer clients out for large tree removal.
